Chapter 1 of 1 - Paracosm {Dreamlike}

Safety pins glinting like sunshine Rainbows and dust bunnies flitting around like butterflies Pumpkin spice wafting through Quotes on slips of paper taped hastily around the room Brushstrokes, smudged led, keep on walking Silently talking Like how rain hits the sidewalk Or maybe my tears dripping down Sticking to my frown Water rushes like realizations Like melancholy, though fake and profound Like spinning around, singing ring-around-the-rosies With a pocketful of posies for the grave Grief slipping away, playing a child's game Iridescent insect wings like those of a fairy With little bags of pixie dust to satisfy their wanderlust Over travels Through rain and sun and clouds and wind Stop at the creek in the storm Sparks and flames and warmth Like pumpkin spice wafting through Quotes on slips of paper taped hastily around the room Brushstrokes, smudged led, keep on walking Silently talking Like whispers in caves Like posie petals falling on the grave And the aches I feel at night when I know I'll never take flight like a fairy In mid January And unexpected snow But my soul still glows When I think of my paracosm With big, rainbow blossoms And moonbows And clover pillows So vivid in my brain, but my everlasting pain Is strangely absent.
