70s

The 70s were turbulent times, but certainly memorable. From the crazy fashions (from the sideburns to the bell bottom jeans) to the peace signs and rock and roll bands, the 70s were full of surprises. There was also the rather different reaction to war. For the first time, soldiers were not welcomed home as heroes from Vietnam, reflective of the decade's changing values.

80s

If you're from the eighties, then your motto must certainly be 'the higher the hair, the closer to God.' After all, you can have the eighties without big hair (and mullets). The eighties had a lot of other bragging rights though, like its music, which is still popular today...with some people, anyway. And we won't even start on their rather distinctive vocabulary.

90s

With the 90s came the internet, or at least, its popularization. Suddenly, the world got a whole lot smaller, and technology got a whole lot more interesting. Also in the 90s came DVDs, as well as many other technological advances. With the 90s also came a new era of political correctness. After all, you wouldn't want to step on anybody's toes.
